Elegy of Empathy"Elegy of Empathy"Elegy of Empathy by Johndennis4209
It was by mere chance I fell upon your world
Into this strange paradox of time,
Three days I move forward three days I move backward,
Your wretched clock ever sounding its chime.
As I traversed through your land I went many places,
Meeting with you time and time again,
A thousand times I've watched you die
And not once did you recognize my faces.
I've seen you in the swamp, where you withered away;
I've seen you in the mountains, where you died in the fray;
I've seen you in the ocean, where you drowned on the land;
And I've seen you in the canyon, where you were eternally damned.
You left your father grieving,
You left your people without food,
You left your wife in shock,
You left the spirits to brood.
Now you must rest
You must give me your sorrow,
I shall carry on your burden
And promise a better tomorrow.

As a Scrub I shall fly
As a Goron I'll fight,
As a Zora I'll swim
As a Giant show might.
To represent your sorrow
You gave me these mask
